Translink and GCAS Networks are celebrating yet another web success as they scooped a major award for ‘Best Content and Information Based website’ at The Institute of Logistics and Transport’s Annual Awards ceremony held at London’s Hilton Hotel recently.
Ciaran Rogan, Translink’s Head of Marketing commented, “We are delighted to receive such a prestigious award. We have worked hard with GCAS Networks who helped redevelop and design the web site. This is great news for both companies having recently won a Northern Ireland Web Award”.
He added, “A key feature of our web site is the interactive journey planner which allows passengers to plan a journey up to 14 days in advance. Live timetable information , travel news and special offers are also available on the site. The site is also BOBBY approved, ensuring its compliance with design guidelines do not alienate people with disabilities”.
Adrian Lennon, Managing Director of GCAS Networks said, “Our aim at GCAS Networks was to design a site which is forward thinking in both design and content and which represents the existing identity and structure of Translink. With over 1500 people visiting the site daily it is great news that the site has been rewarded in this way”
