Translink’s Marketing and Commercial Services departments have each separately succeeded in receiving the Investor in People Award (IiP), following several inspections by IiP assessors. 

“We couldn’t be more proud of this achievement,” Ciaran Rogan, Marketing Executive said at the presentation of the award. “The effort involved across both divisions shows just how committed our staff are to service and excellence. We are now looking forward to seeing the IiP programme being rolled out over the other company divisions, ensuring that the highest possible standards are applied to every aspect of our operations.”

Both divisions are large operations.  Marketing covers the new callcentre, all passenger information, media relations, design, advertising and promotions.  While Commercial Services looks after Parcel Link, the Travel Centres, Citybus (now Metro) Tours, Ulsterbus Tours and Freight.  Both departments required a high level of co-ordination and communication to meet the standards for IiP accreditation.

“This truly is a case where each and every member of staff had to fully buy into the principles of IiP in order for us to achieve our goal,” said John Campbell, Translink’s Commercial Services Manager. “The effort, which was recognised by the external assessing panel, reflects very accurately our commitment to performance and quality, and the ongoing development of our skills and capabilities.”
