Upgrade of Finaghy rail halt
22nd October 2007:
NI Railways is advising passengers using Finaghy station halt that, due to upgrades there will be night work carried out this weekend.
Translink would like to alert local residents at Finaghy station halt that night work will take place on Friday 26 October.
The work is part of the £7 million investment package to upgrade stations across Northern Ireland in order to deliver a better rail service. This ongoing work involves new signage, shelters, seating and re-surfacing and will mean greater access for disabled passengers and a better environment for all.
Translink’s General Manager for Rail Services, Mal McGreevy, has assured passengers that every effort would be made to minimise noise and disruption to stations and services.
NI Railways would like to ask passengers and residents for their continued support, in order to improve this local facility for the local community, and would apologise for any inconvenience caused by these temporary arrangements.
Passengers can access the latest information regarding the project by logging on to www.translink.co.uk or by contacting Translink’s Call Centre on 028 9066 6630.
