EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - GENERAL ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS

To assist with the delivery of the Property Department’s programme of capital works Translink wishes to short list a number of General Electrical Contractors to tender for Electrical Works in two lots:-

 

Lot 1 – Works up to a value of £200,000
Lot 2 – Works £200,000 up to a value of £1,000,000


Works may include (but are not limited) to new build, extensions and or refurbishment of:

 

• Bus Stations
• Bus Engineering Workshops
• Bus Depots
• Bus Parks
• Railway Stations
• Railway Halts
• Railway Engineering Workshops
• Park and Ride Facilities
• Office, Training and Call Centre Facilities
• Other General Electrical Works

 

Where works relate to railway properties contractors may be required to work on or near the railway line in accordance with the NI Railways Rule Book. Contractors must be capable of passing Personal Track Safety (PTS) Certification which provides basic knowledge of the Rule Book.

 

The Approved Short List of General Electrical Contractors is for Property Department works only and does not apply to the Permanent Way (Track), Signalling and Telecommunications, and Structures Departments works.

 

The Approved Short List will be held for a 3 year period with an option to extend for a further year.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - BALLAST HOPPERS

Translink intend to appoint a competent contractor to design, manufacture and supply twelve auto-ballast hopper wagons to replace existing fleet.

Suppliers should be aware that hoppers shall be subject to Northern Ireland Railways vehicle acceptance testing.

Hoppers should comply with Irish gauge (1600mm) and Northern Ireland Railways loading gauge profile.


Additional Services to include, but not limited to:-

• Manufacturers warranty period of one year to commence from date of delivery to Northern Ireland Railways.

• Supplier to provide major services for a period of three years from date of delivery to Northern Ireland Railways.
 
• Comprehensive training for Translink operatives

• Supply of maintenance and operation manuals for hoppers

• Full mechanical test certification to be supplied.

PRE-QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE - BALLAST HOPPERS



 

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - CASH HANDLING EQUIPMENT 

Translink have a requirement to replace cash and note deposit and counting equipment for Metro & Ulsterbus Belfast and Ulsterbus L/Derry- City.  A total of 10 machines is required spread over 7 locations.  The equipment must be capable of taking individual pay-ins from drivers and providing a receipt detailing both coin and bank notes per denomination.

Translink also require provision of software in order to provide daily reports in respect of individual transactions, deposit and discrepancy reports by location, shorts and overs etc. as well as the ability to self generate reports.

As part of the overall contract, Translink would also require a costing in respect of an appropriate maintenance agreement to cover the life span of the equipment.  

As part of this contract Translink would also require our existing equipment to be disposed off.

The anticipated award date is March 2010 with an estimated delivery of equipment within 6 months of order.
